Abstract This paper explores the relevance of intergenerational ethics in context climate change and argues that virtue provides a suitable framework for addressing these ethical concerns. We suggest inclusion new virtue, called prospection , which involves cultivating ability to think care deeply about future, navigate its inherent uncertainties constructively, ensure availability sustainable options future generations. thinking imagining futures trigger good dispositions towards humans, non-humans nature ought be part definition life. posit fostering this disposition can inspire motivate present actions effectively mitigate change.
